We are going to St. Lucia!

We have officially booked our anniversary trip to St. Lucia in March! It's only 6 months away, and I can't wait! We are staying in the gorgeous town of Soufriere, home of the majestic Pitons! I think it's the most beautiful part of ther island! We will be staying at the awesome Stonefield Estate Villa Resort & Spa. We'll have our own private villa with a pool situated on the cliffside with ocean and piton views! It has a bedroom, outside shower, living room, and full kitchen. There is a big covered front porch with rocking chairs and a hammock overlooking the Caribbean sea! The pool is situated on the cliffside overlooking the Petit Piton and Caribbean ocean. The views from the villa are AMAZING! It's minutes from the town of Soufriere and Jalousie Beach. They even have a free shuttle to take us back and forth to the beaches! I can't wait to make it our home for 7 nights! Here are a few pictures of the resort...

It's that time of the year again!

It's FINALLY here...football season, that is! I am so excited to start cheering on my Gamecocks again! We are going to have a great team this year with lots of talent! This makes me even more excited! Unfortunately, I will be working tomorrow night when the Gamecocks take on East Carolina. I will have it recorded on my DVR for sure! I am a Carolina football fanatic...you know one of those obnoxious fans yelling at the TV, jumping up and down, chanting all of those cheers, completely covered from head to toe in garnet and black, really depressed when we lose....yea, that would be me! IT'S TIME FOR CAROLINA FOOTBALL...GO COCKS!!!!

Our new dining table!

We finally found a dining table to go in our empty dining room! It is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. It's grey and cream and is distressed. The chairs have a woven straw bottom. I wanted something rustic and different, not formal. It looks great in our house. Here are some pictures...

Max & Jack

Max & Jack have been in Mt. P for a few weeks now and are adjusting to their new home really well! I was a little worried about how they were going to react to such a big change, but we've had no problems! :) They love the fenced in yard and aren't barking at everything all night like they did in Hartsville. Jack isn't even harassing Bentley in the back yard like he use to. They are being good boys!

They're ready & waiting...

Look what Alex and I put together a couple of days ago! I ordered two new dog houses for Max & Jack. We are traveling to Hartsville Thursday and finally bringing them back to Mt. Pleasant with us on Saturday. I'm sure that will be an interesting trip back home with all 3 dogs in the car! I sure do hope they like their new houses! I will have to take pictures of them when we get them here. Jack is now 66 lbs. & Max is 76 lbs. They are HUGE! I'm a little nervous about how they are going to adjust to the move. Luckily, I won't have to go back to work until Thursday night, so I'll be able to be home with them for a while. I will update everyone on how they are doing when we make it back!

Pressure Washing

Alex pressure washed the house and driveway yesterday. It took him a good 4 hours to do it, and he still has the back patio left to do (which he is planning on finishing on Friday). The house looks great! The biggest improvement was the driveway....which was almost black from all of the dirt. It looks brand new! He also did the front portion of the fence. It looks great too! :)

House Update!

Everyone has been asking me to post some pictures of the house since we moved in...so, here they are! We have been busy getting settles in the house and working. We still have some painting to do upstairs and of course, some landscaping outside. We also have to get plantation shutters for the downstairs and some furniture pieces. I will try to be better about updating the blog, I promise! :)

Looking down over the railing upstairs

Front guestroom that we just painted! If you remember from the last photos, it was canary yellow.

This room has access to the upstairs front porch.

Middle guest room that we just painted tan. It was a baby blue color. Currently, we don't have any furniture in this room, so I just took a picture of the new wall color!

The tub in our bathroom...I will take more pictures of the rest of our bathroom once we finish painting it. We are painting it a mocha color. This yellow has to go!

Upstairs guest bathroom

Downstairs half bath

Living room...we are getting a new couch and chairs soon! We also have to hang some pictures on the walls!

Plantation shutters will be going on these windows, the curtains are coming down!

Kitchen

Dining room minus the table, rug, and chairs! We have to buy them.

Front formal living area...we have to get a rug and some sitting furniture for this room.

Staircase and entryway

Our house! This picture was taken in winter...of course our grass is greener and the tree has green leaves now! :)
