House Update!

So far, so good! Everything is going great with our house! We are getting closer and closer everyday to owning it all to ourselves and moving in. We can't wait! The home inspection went really well. There are only a few minor things to fix and the sellers agreed to repair everything that needed to be done! The appraisal has been done as well as the CL-100 (termite bond). We have no termites! We close May 16th. We can't wait to get in there and start renovating, landscaping, and decorating! We love our new house!

We are officially going to be homeowners!

Alex & I have been looking at houses for a few months now. We've looked at A LOT of homes, and our patience has finally paid off! We fell in love with this house the moment we walked through the door. It is so cute! It is a 2-story home & has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, has a cute kitchen, breakfast area, family room with fireplace, formal dining room, formal living room, 2 front porches, detached garage, and a big fenced in backyard for the dogs! It's pretty much everything we've been looking for.

It's located in The Village at Park West. The neighborhood is precious! It is in a really nice area. There are community docks, a dog park, sidewalks everywhere, a pond with a playground across the street, and the neighborhood is located on the beautiful marsh! I LOVE the marsh! We also have access to the Park West amenities center which has 2 pools, a summer kitchen, kids playground, and 6 tennis courts. The pools will be nice during the summer and when we have company!

We are having the home inspection done on Monday. Hopefully, everything will be good to go! We are closing on May 16th. The timing was perfect considering our landlord for our condo called to tell us he just sold it and we have to be out by May 30th! I am so ready to move in our house! I'm so excited about having a house to decorate and a yard to make pretty! The first thing we have to do is replace the carpet upstairs. They have berber carpet in there now that is worn out. We're going to go to Lowe's nect week and look at some samples. I also want to rip up all of the bushes in the front & back of the house and start all over. They are overgrown & not too cute!I'm glad we are going to have a home to start making memories in! We'll keep the house progress updated on the blog. Wish us luck!

Crabbing dock right across the street! Big fenced yard for Max, Jack, & Bentley!
Pretty plantation shutters & hardwoods in the breakfast room!
My cute kitchen with pretty terra-cotta tile!

We want to eventaully put in granite countertops.
Formal dining room right off of the kitchen. Love the windows!

Formal green living room next door. All gorgeous hardwood floors!
Family room with fireplace & hardwood floors. Needs a little paint!
Porch upstairs off of one of the bedrooms.

It could use a couple of black rocking chairs!
Nice detached garage with side door leading out to backyard.

Our new house!

Sidewalks all throughout the neighborhood to walk the dogs!

We also have to do some landscaping!!!
