Bridal Photo Shoot

I had a really cool & fun bridal photo shoot on Friday with my photographer Chris Smith from Chris & Cami Photography. We met downtown Charleston at Waterfront Park and worked our way down the cobblestone streets looking for amazing photo opportunities. My mom & Mrs. Beth Grant went along with us. Mrs. Beth did my hair and bouquet for the pictures. We had THE BEST time taking pictures downtown. Chris is an AMAZING photographer. He creates really cool images. He took our engagement photos @ Boone Hall Plantation and is also traveling with us to Jamaica to shoot our wedding! I'm super excited about he & his wife coming to Jamaica and taking our pictures! We are going to have a blast working with the beautiful backdrops of the Caribbean! We started out at Waterfront Park taking a few photos with the tree lined walkway. We then moved over to the big black iron bird gate and took a few there. Next, we shot a few in the middle of an old cobblestone street where the sun was peaking through the buildings. We did a few action shots of me holding my dress up walking down the street with my rainbow flip flops on! We got some shots of Chris using a old barn-like door and framing me inside of the door. There was this really cool orange bicycle across the street that we had been eyeing. The owner came out and allowed us to use her bicycle to shoot with. It had a big basket on the front that I put my bouquet in. I think those will be really cute pictures! We played with some water puddles in the street and Chris took some reflection shots on me twirling my dress around. We found a really neat alleyway that we used to shoot a few in. Next, there was an old brick sidewalk up against a brick building that I stood against. It was neat because it will just be me surrounded by all of the old bricks in the photos. We saw a really pretty brown iron garage gate that I stood against too. I'm thinking they may end up being my favorite shots! Finally, we worked our way back over to Waterfront Park to end the shoot with some photos at the classic Pineapple Fountain. Chris has awesome visions for his photographs. I can't wait to see the finished photos! It's going to be really hard to pick out ONE for my bridal portrait that I'm going to display at our Hartsville reception! I have a feeling I'm going to love every one! I think I'm going to get him to make me a photo book of all of my favorites. I can't wait for everyone to see them after the wedding!

Showers in Hartsville

A couple of weeks ago Alex & I went to Hartsville for the weekend for a couples shower on Saturday and a bridal shower on Sunday. We got a lot of great gifts and pretty things for our home! It was really good to see all of our family and friends. I thought I would post some pictures from the weekend. I have a couple more showers coming up, so I will post pictures from those as well! We only have 2.5 weeks left until we leave for Jamaica! We are VERY excited and can't wait to get there! It's going to be tons of fun!
